Strongly grounded in the traditional art fundamentals, Kian‘s passion for concept art and animation brought him across the globe from Malaysia to USA. Since 1997, his diverse professional background span many different creative industries, from publishing, video production, animation, collectible games to video games.
Kian has a unique benefit and challenge as an artist, because of his passion and skills in both drawing and animating. This is a good especially for video game development. He will work as a concept artist in the beginning stage and then put on the animation hat during production. Sometimes his graphic design background even served on additional marketing art required during production.
Currently, he is the Lead Concept Artist for the first truly AAA MMO-RTS game in the world called End of Nations. This game is developed by Petroglyph Games and published by Trion Worlds. Kian is responsible to lead the team in conceptualizing how military warfare is like in this alternate futuristic world. The game has been winning multiple awards from many high reputation places.
His previous games are Mytheon a MMO Action RPG that are based on Greek mythology, published by Tru Games and another RTS game, Universe at War for PC and XBOX 360 published by SEGA USA.
Previously Kian has worked on Plucker video game prototype for the Nintendo DS. It is based on a book by world renowned fantasy artist Brom. Another game in Kian’s credit that were developed by Nightlight Studios is NASA’s Hurricane Hunter for the PC. This was an educational simulation game for high school learning.
Among his other previously published game are Greg Hasting's Paintball for Nintendo DS, Rocketmen CSG game and animated series, Pirates of the Spanish Main, MechWarrior, Mage Knight and DragonMech.
Kian’s goal is to continue pursuing the artistic field as a Concept Artist and also as a Character Animator.
